Romance: The Lace Camisole

There aren’t many pieces in my wardrobe that I love as a result of being a slave to bargain shopping for several years now. However, there is one blouse in my closet that I will never retire – my Express Design Studio plaid camisole, from Express stores. The versatility makes it ultra-appealing; it has been worn peeking out from under a blazer and paired with slacks for work, worn alone with jeans for drinks, and tucked into relaxed pants for Sunday morning brunch. The romantic lace trim and timeless plaid print make for an undeniably sharp combo.

And it was not purchased off the rack. I found it on Ebay for a fraction of the retail price months, if not a year, after it was sold in stores.

A lace-trim camisole is a staple item that every woman should own. In fact, design duo Rodarte recently had wallet-friendly camisoles available through their Target line. Though these little numbers were scooped up quite promptly at Target stores, there is a sprinkling of them on Ebay. Currently each is within the $13 to $20 range.
