On a recent trip to the Midwest, my fiancé and I browsed a row of thrift shops in a quiet Iowa town somewhere between Omaha and Des Moines. I saw an interesting seafoam green something… a vintage relish tray. Fueled then by inspiration drawn from an InStyle article (below), I knew it had to be mine.
So I bought this gorgeous relish tray for $3. I have since set it on my nightstand, and it has been one of my favorite investments.
The next time you’re at a Goodwill store, or thrift shop, browse the kitchenware. You may be surprised at the number of items that could double as jewelry or ring holders. Relish trays are fantastic, as are dessert stands and vintage bowls of differing sizes and colors. Use your imagination, and you’ll be surprised at the treasures that await you.
